Zero Excess Option

  1. What does zero excess mean to me as a client?
    • This means that if you choose the zero excess option, you don’t have to pay any basic or voluntary excess. This ultimately means that ESRIC will settle your claim in full.
    • In the event of an accident, the policyholder is charged an amount of money to cover part of the damage cost. But now, when your insured vehicle is in an accident and a claim is submitted to ESRIC, you have an option of either paying the stipulated policy excess or you can choose NOT to pay any excess at all.
  2. Which insurance classes are included in this offer?
    • The zero excess policy is only available to the private motor cover as an optional extension.
  3. If I already have a comprehensive motor cover policy, what do I do if I want to add this option?
    • If you are a direct client to ESRIC, you only need to send an email to instructing us to change your policy to the zero excess option.
    • If you insure through a broker or a corporate agent, you can forward the instruction to your contact person.

  6. How long do I have to wait for this to be applicable?
    • There is not waiting period
